An essential part of exploring your 3D files is the ability to easily and intuitively navigate. At VRcollab, we've designed a navigation system that accommodates any 3D file and gives the user the ability to almost instantly travel to any place they'd like. We have designed our navigation system to deliver comfort, above all else.
On the Oculus Rift controller, there are two major buttons that VRcollab uses. The first one is the joystick, and the second one is the trigger button. In VRcollab, the joystick is assigned to navigation and the trigger is assigned to interact with our VR UI and environment.
Teleport into the model
After you first launch your 3D files in VRcollab, we will show the model in a scaled one by putting it in a nicely designed showroom. You can point to where you want to jump in on the model and press the joystick, and you will be teleported into the position you point at.
First impression of Virtual Reality UI panel
In Virtual Reality, we use ray as the cursor to point and interact with the UI and the environment. You can pick the tools from the UI panel by pointing them using the ray and press the trigger button.
Teleport in the environment
You can always point to where you want to go and press the joystick, VRcollab will teleport you to that position.
Fly in the environment
VRcollab also allows users to "fly" through the build. Use the joystick to “fly”.
